Theatre 503
Theatre503 is located at 503 Battersea Park Road in Battersea in the London Borough of Wandsworth, above The Latchmere Pub. It is a performing arts venue which specialises in new work.Originally founded in 1982 as a custom-built studio theatre, the opening production was a new adaptation of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, which proved so successful that the production transferred to the West End.
The original name of the theatre was linked with the pub downstairs, but in 2002, the theatre relaunched under Artistic Director Paul Higgins under its new name of Theatre503 as a home for new writing. In November 2006 Paul Robinson and Tim Roseman were appointed as artistic directors with the specific brief to develop the profile of the theatre, and the new theatre launched with the European Premiere of The Atheist.
Since 2002, the venue has seen the premiere of more than fifty new writers, including Dennis Kelly, Phil Porter, Duncan Macmillan and Rachael Wagstaff. It went on to win the Peter Brook Empty Space Award and was nominated for a Time Out Live Award in 2006.

Saw Inches Apart last night and have to say well done to all involved! Pub grub not bad downstairs either. A proper play and a pint moment.

Really poor whats 503 coming to? Directed without any vision, and performances failed to engage.
Tailor Made Love - Dec 06An excellent peice of theatre brilliantly written, and performed by only one very talented actor. I was laughing nearly all the way through. You must see this before it ends. Where to I see more stuff by these guys?
Tailor Made Love Dec - 06I saw this performance on the opening night ( Tuesday 12th December). It was a bit of a gamble as I haven't watched any performances at Theatre503 - a gamble that certainly paid off. Theatre 503 is a very intimate venue - just above the Latchmere pub in Battersea - perfect for this Christmas story of imagination.Tailor made Love is a cleverly written character comedy told through the narrative of John Brignoe - a northern tailor searching for an imaginary son for Christmas to continue his business. This one man show was energetically performed by Philip Brodie - whose comic timing and sensitive acting was outstanding! If you're looking for a Christmas Fringe show to watch this year - this is THE one. It's completely put us the Christmas mood and I'm still laughing today at some of the lines and characters. What can I say - go and see it for yourself 5/5! An Outstanding Show
